Herbert Carrington Scholarship Application

 

 

The Knights of Peter Claver, Council #379 annually award an academic scholarship to provide financial assistance to High School Graduates. The $2,500.00 scholarship must be used for educational purposes at an accredited College or University, at the time of their application. The applicants must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents of Florida. Applicants should demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and demonstrate the financial need.  Applicants will be selected in the spring prior to entering college. All applicants will also have other qualifications, which will be presented to the committee to determine the best qualified.

 

Applicants must be a male or female Catholic, high school graduate and have a 3.0 GPA or greater. All applicants must plan to attend a 4-year accredited college or University. The scholarship will not be limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue academic discipline. It is desirous, but not limited to, that the applicants be African American and hopefully will seek membership in the Knights of Peter Claver or the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary. The 2016 application will be available around April 1, 2016.
